Surprisingly good. Worth trying
I've been a fan of the freeze dried fruit since it came out, but I (like others) was skeptical of freeze dried vegetables. And I was originally skeptical of the soups too -- I've had "just add water" soups before and they are mostly salt and artificial flavorings that weren't very good. This is actually a different product because the freeze dried vegetables add a lot of wholesome body to the soup. It's really more like a "cream of" or pureed soup, and is thick and filling. The one I'm having is not heavily salted, which is nice because it allows you to control your own level of saltiness. Definitely could see this being a quick and easy lunch option and definitely will try other flavors.
I bought this cause I was real curious and oh boy i was blown away I don't know about you but this soup just brings back memories cause it's identical to the soup that my grandma would make back in the day, maybe with a little extra potatoes. The soup is very creamy and smooth, it's a whole another level of comfort. There's some pieces of leek and potatoes too so it's not just a cream with 0 texture. The flavor is mild, not salty like other freeze-dried soups you can buy in a supermarket I added some parmigiano for an extra kick and it made my day. Didn't have time to take pics cause i was too busy cleaning the bowl!
